Task 2: Visual Design Publication
INSTRUCTIONS
Visual Design Publication
We were assigned to design a digital e-book based on the past finalized research dissertation. I went through multiple iterations of the design before settling on the final one. The first attempt I was going for a futuristic look, because UI design is digital. Though I have feedback from Dr Wong that UI design is not futuristic and I should revise the design direction. She also mention the cover page to find something related to visual refractive error.
I revised the font to a more simple minimalist look often found in UI design. I also opted for pastels to have a more friendly appeal. The feedback given was the cover page has an eye which is the focus point and has a lot of ways to convey it in a more creative way. The text also has accessibility issue such as low text contrast with the purple text and coloured background.

REFLECTION
The design process is enjoyable because it involves designing a book that includes research from Task 1. I learned that getting feedback is important to make sure public perception is align with my thinking. I am used to my thinking but other people might perceive it different than I do. The point of designing is communication to a wide audience so getting feedback is crucial in design. Once again I have to show my gratitude to Dr Wong for being patient and guiding me through the whole designing process.
