REFLECTION

Experience: I learned about the way to conduct a research using research topic, problem statement, research and research question. Research gives insight into the topic that is being researched. It provides valuable data through the compilation of research papers.

Observations: My specialisation is UI/UX. So I thought about the most used web or app design. I decided to go with the most popular social media app and analyse the design of it. The accessibility issue is common in UI/UX. It is important that online web or app is user friendly to every unique individual. I thought it will be interesting to combine the two aspects together. Initially I wanted to do humanstic design. But social media doesn't feature illustrations and the post images depend on the person who uploaded it. Humanistic design includes inclusive diverse illustration or images. Social media allows the user to upload content and the feed is generated by an algorithm.

Findings: By following the procedure of writing research paper, I was able to write a proposal on the exploration of accessibility in UI/UX in social media. In the problem statement I made sure to include references of research papers that I found relevant to the research. I included the introduction and conclusion to complete the research.
