Task 2: Art Asset Development
INSTRUCTIONS
Gaming Assets Presentation
I was tasked with creating the background, in game HUD like the health bar and feather stamina bar, various screens such as menu, pause, game over screen, level complete screen. I also drew platform plane and obstacles such as spikes, crumbling stone, moving platforms. After feedback, I was given suggestion to add some elements similar to the fairy theme like flowers and mushrooms. I decided to add some animation and add some properties into them like a bouncing mushroom that lifts the player or a blooming flower which requires timing.

FEEDBACK
Week 6General Feedback: The trees style is a nice touch. Maybe you can experiment with putting the ground plane in the middle of the screen or change the grass to bushes with the style of the tree.
Specific Feedback: It can be more fairy themed like adding flowers and mushrooms.
REFLECTION
I have experience drawing pixel art before so it helps the process. I feel like there's a lot of room for improvement but I went with my first draft due to time constraint. I find the assets easier to draw than the background because there is less room for error. I have immense respect and admiration to game illustration artists and the games we have available.
